The Process

Simple. Fast. Straight answers.

Six steps from a free discovery call to a complete findings report you can file yourself. No claims mill. No percentage of your backpay. Just the best possible intelligence before you step into the fight.

Book your free 15-minute discovery call

We start with a no-obligation call to understand where you are — what you're rated for, what's bothering you, and what you think you might be missing. There's no script and no pressure. By the end of fifteen minutes you'll know whether a full records review is the right fit for your situation.

What you do

Pick a time, hop on Google Meet or a phone call, and tell us your story.

What we do

Listen, ask the right questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.

Pay the flat $1,500 records review fee

If we're a fit, you reserve your records review with a single flat fee. That's it — no percentage of your backpay, no hidden fees, no upsells later. The price you see is the price you pay, and you know it before any work begins. Put it in perspective: a correct 100% P&T rating is worth over $1 million across a lifetime — getting your claim right is the highest-return decision you'll make.

What you do

Complete a secure checkout and a short intake form.

What we do

Confirm your payment and open a secure file for your records.

Send us whatever you have — even if that's nothing

We send you a secure upload link and a simple checklist. Have a full file — service records, medical records, prior VA decisions? Great. Have none of it? That's just as common, and often where the strongest cases start. Plenty of veterans get rated on lay statements and a buddy statement alone. We work from whatever you've got, including just your service and your story.

What you do

Upload whatever you have — or just tell us your service history and what you're dealing with.

What we do

Organize what exists, and map out what generally matters for what doesn't.

We review your file and write your findings report

This is where the work happens. We go through your case condition by condition, map it against your MOS and deployment era, identify what may have been missed or under-rated, and connect each finding to the relevant VA regulations and medical literature. When the records are thin, we show you what generally matters and where it tends to live — what a lay statement usually speaks to, who can speak to your service, and how service connection generally works without a paper trail — so you can decide what to pursue. The result is a written findings report delivered as soon as 5–7 business days.

What you do

Sit tight — then gather or write anything you choose to, from what we walk through.

What we do

Analyze your case, flag where the evidence is strong or thin, and write your complete findings report.

45-minute Google Meet walkthrough of your findings

Once your report is ready, we walk through it together on a 45-minute Google Meet call — it opens right in your browser, so there's no app to download and nothing to set up; we just send you a link to click. We explain every finding in plain language, prep you for what to expect at a C&P exam, and answer your questions. You leave the call knowing exactly what's in your report and how to act on it.

What you do

Show up, ask questions, and take notes on your action plan.

What we do

Walk you through every finding and prep you for your C&P exam.

You file on VA.gov — done

With your findings report in hand, you file your own claim directly on VA.gov. You stay in full control of your claim, you keep every dollar of any backpay, and you go in with the clearest, most complete understanding of your file possible. We're behind you the whole way, watching your six — but your money is, and always remains, yours.

What you do

Submit your claim on VA.gov using your findings report as your guide.

What we do

Provide the intelligence — you keep 100% of the outcome.

Why We Don't File Your Claim

We hand you the intelligence. You stay in command.

Pointman Claims is a pre-filing records review service — not a claims agent and not your representative before the VA. We analyze your records and write your findings report; you file the claim yourself on VA.gov. This isn't a workaround — it's where the line is drawn. VA accreditation is required to represent a veteran before the VA: to prepare, present, or prosecute a claim. We do none of those things — we provide education and analysis, and you file. It's also genuinely better for you. Here's why.

We don't represent you — by design

Because we provide education and analysis rather than representation, we can spend as much time as your records require helping you understand your own file. You stay the decision-maker; we just help you see the full picture before you file.

No percentage taken

One flat $1,500 fee — paid up front, never as a cut of your backpay. When your claim succeeds, you keep every dollar of any retroactive award. We don't profit from the size of your outcome, so our only incentive is accuracy.

Full transparency

You see everything we see. The findings report lays out each condition, the evidence behind it, and the regulation it maps to — in plain language. Nothing happens to your claim that you didn't decide and submit yourself.

“Our job is to hand you the best possible intelligence before you step into the fight — then get out of your way so you keep control of your claim and every dollar that comes with it.”
